I have little to say

I received a comment on YouTube for my latest videocast. The comment reads:

Why doesn’t anyone think of the rights of the business owner. If i own a business i have every right to tell anyone they can’t work in my business. Aslong as I own it and don’t ahve government help than who the hell are you to tell me what I can and can’t do.

Aside from the fact that whoever this is needs to learn of the space bar, I’m at a loss for words. I could spew out the fact that everyone has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness blah blah blah, but really, that isn’t original.

Look, I’m not telling you how to run your business. Hire whoever the heck you want. But at the end of the day, are you going to be proud of yourself because the only reason you didn’t hire me was because I’m trans? Or, are you the kind of person that just wouldn’t care how you’ve impacted my life? I’m just after the same thing everyone else has. I don’t want any special treatment, I just don’t want to be treated like a freak.

  1. Actually you know, most (and I do mean most) people are “the kind of person that just wouldn’t care how you’ve impacted your] life”. I mean they just don’t give a damn. And how could you expect them to magically grow up and start treating everyone with respect etc. ? As my friend has said (and he’s probably quoting someone) Us humans, we come from a long line of racist, hate-filled people. I’m not saying it’s acceptable or that I am this way, or that I am perfect, but just that I really don’t think you can expect much from people.

[note: i didn't watch the video so... yeah just commenting on what was said]

  2. Yea, I agree that most people just don’t give a shit. It’s sad though. Very sad. I don’t usually expect much from people, I just hope that they aren’t like that.
